I have always been nostalgic for a time I wasn’t born.
Since I was a kid,I have been collecting snippets of creative influences from the past
like a Bower Bird with a time machine.

Seeta Roy is a freelance illustrator and surface pattern designer based on the East Coast of Australia.
Seeta works digitally in Photoshop to create solely digital art without sacrificing a hand drawn, traditional aesthetic. Her illustrations are inspired by the natural world, with a heavy focus on botanical illustrations.
With a professional background in fashion and design administration, having worked for a number of years as a Studio Manger for a graphic design agency, Seeta has an extensive knowledge in the administrative side of the creative business. This combined with a natural-born artistic talent, she decided to take the leap in to freelance illustration. She is now taking that leap further into surface pattern design, creating hand drawn repeating patterns with a traditional method.
Seeta lives with her partner and their 3 cats on the Mid-North Coast of NSW, Australia. Having relocated from Sydney to a regional town, with national parks and beaches on her doorstep, inspiration for her artworks is easily sought. When she is not creating art, she can be found wandering local bush tracks, cooking in her kitchen or knee-deep in her garden beds.
Seeta is currently creating surface pattern design collections that will be available for purchasing and licensing.
Her artworks is available to purchase through Etsy and Society6
